BSP Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) Guide for Pacific Businesses

What BSP IPG is, how it connects to your website, merchant eligibility, bank approval, and what Sky High Pacific does versus what your bank does.

The BSP Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) is one of the most common ways Pacific businesses accept card payments online. This guide explains what it is and how it connects to your Sky High Pacific website.

What is BSP IPG?

BSP IPG is an internet payment gateway provided by BSP (Bank of South Pacific) that lets customers pay by card on your website. The payment is processed by BSP and settles into your own BSP merchant account.

How it connects to your website

  • You apply for a BSP merchant account and IPG access (through BSP, not Sky High Pacific).
  • Once approved, BSP provides you with gateway credentials.
  • Sky High Pacific connects those credentials to your website and app during onboarding.
  • Customer payments are processed by BSP and settle into your own bank account.

What Sky High does vs what your bank does

  • Your bank (BSP) approves your merchant account and provides the gateway.
  • Sky High Pacific connects the gateway to your website and app.
  • Sky High Pacific never collects or holds your customer payments.
Subject to merchant eligibility, bank approval and local availability. Sky High Pacific does not guarantee approval by BSP and does not imply a formal partnership.
